In which controversy eludes me

Okay, so Ann Coulter called John Edwards a fag.  And years ago she said the same of Al Gore.  The word's a compliment in my book.  My friends use it as a phone greeting.  It's not like she called Edwards a drycunt, childless, oversurged shrew-whore.  Because that would just be mean.
