No. Really. New York borders Rhode Island. I was explaining the distance relationship of Fire Island to the Hamptons to this 'mystery man' in my life, calling in as he occasionally does. To be sure of my explanation, as I spoke, I googled Fire Island and then, post-explain, I decided to take a look at good old Block Islands, another of my favorite places.
