My friend B and I watched the Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies together, yet separately. While he was watching from a dinner party in Brooklyn, my choice was to be home so as to wake early the next morning. (Please note that neither of us use standard texting conventions and that B is a terrible speller, not trying to create new texting conventions.)
