In a move to bring more realism to the upcoming Dallas movie, more casting decisions were announced today. Following announcement of the casting John Travolta, Luke Wilson, Shirley MacClaine and Jennifer Lopez, producers stated a need to show greater diversity in the cast, "People come in every shade and type, even oil people. The conception that all rich oil magnates are white must and will end. Only this way can the oil magnates be free."
